Clóset Lolita 2021 - Parte 1 [Español]

¿Es demasiado tarde para postear mi clóset? Hace mucho tiempo que quería hacerlo, pero siempre he considerado mi clóset muy reducido o aburrido. Aún así, ahora mismo me siento bastante cómoda con la cantidad de vestidos que tengo considerando qué tan seguido tengo la oportunidad de usarlos. Además, creo que documentar la evolución de mi colección de ahora en adelante puede ser tanto útil como divertido. 

Este post estará dividido en dos partes ya que estoy usando mi maniquí para mostrar mis vestidos, y tomar fotografías me está tomando más de lo que inicialmente esperaba. ¡Espero que les guste, y por favor háganme saber si por casualidad tienen alguno de estos vestidos también!

Lolita Wardrobe 2021 - Part 1 [English]

Is it too late to do a wardrobe post? I've been wanting to do one since forever, but I always considered my lolita closet to be too boring or too small. Right now I feel fairly comfortable with the amount of mainpieces I own considering how often I use them. Plus, documenting the evolution of my wardrobe from now on will be both useful and fun. 

This yearly wardrobe post will be splitted in two parts since I am using my dressform to display my dresses, and shooting pictures is taking me more time than what I initially expected. I hope you like it, and please let me know if by chance you own any of these dresses too!

Lolita Fashion as Coping Mechanism pt. 1

Any hobby can at some point become a coping mechanism, intentionally or not. I don't consider this is something bad, unless it starts hurting you instead of bringing you joy. Sadly, in lolita fashion this happens more frequently than you would like to believe, and at some point I would like to talk more about it since I've experienced a bit of it myself, and I've seen and read about others going through very difficult times. But since we're already surrounded by so much negativity, today I want to talk about how it's helping me go through this forced isolation many of us still have to endure. 

Cualquier hobby puede convertirse en algún punto un mecanismo de supervivencia, intencionalmente o no. Personalmente no considero que esto sea algo malo, a menos que en algún punto empiece a hacerte más daño que traerte felicidad. Lamentablemente, en el lolita esto sucede más frecuentemente de lo que uno quisiera creer, y en algún punto me gustaría hablar más sobre esto ya que lo he experimentado en cierta manera, y también he visto y leído acerca de otros atravesar por momentos muy complicados. Pero ya que de por sí estamos rodeados por tantas cosas negativas, hoy quisiera hablar acerca de cómo me ha ayudado a sobrellevar el aislamiento obligatorio que muchos de nosotros aún tenemos que llevar. 

Disclaimer: this is my personal experience. And I haven't been taking part of this fashion for too long. I got my first dress at the beginning of 2017, but it was around the  middle of 2018 that lolita started to become part of my weekly routine. I guess people with 5 or 10 years of experience could tell a different story. 

Advertencia: esta es mi experiencia personal. Y yo no he participado de esta moda por mucho tiempo. Obtuve mi primer vestido a inicios del 2017, pero no fue hasta mediados del 2018 que el lolita empezó a formar parte de mi rutina semanal. Imagino que personas con 5 o 10 años de experiencia podrían contar una historia diferente.
